Quality Manager Wireless Products
The Quality Manager Wireless Products position will be responsible for developing and implementing quality management processes and procedures for wireless terminals. Focused areas would include handset quality, manufacturing, packaging, labels, input to R&D for improvements to SW/HW, etc.  As the owner of Quality, the responsibility is to reduce time to deliver quality products and to support continued improvements across all phases of development and delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Participation in all customer product quality forums/deep dives
  • Representing forward logistics quality including production quality in internal and external meetings
  • Tracking and documentation of equipment return reasons with ability to set thresholds and responses to corrective action requests
  • Driving suggestions to the product line team and tracking implementation of product improvements
  • Auditing distribution center quality processes
  • Management of inventory auditing at local (U.S.) distribution centers
  • Develop local quality program including production QC, OQC, FAI, RF and Infrastructure Test
  • Documentation and improvement of all related quality processes as required
  • Ensure that internal Quality processes for both pre/post launch are setup to meet customers requirements
  • Advocating for and representing the Supply Chain Quality organization within ZTE
  • Uniting staff across multiple disciplines to plan, formulate and agree on comprehensive quality procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and regulations
  • Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications (i.e. in repair process)
  • Tracking and managing repair operations as needed
  • Identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training as appropriate
  • Working closely with China based counterparts on a daily basis
  • Providing regular status updates and prompt resolution of issues
  • Direct and frequent communication with Sprint/Boost/US Cellular USA counterparts
  • May be responsible for managing additional aspects of the product launch process, including packaging and box art, ZTE customer care preparation, and aspects of product lifecycle management
  • Full ownership of post launch issues and responsible for working with customers and R&D in finding the root cause and corrective actions for all reported issues

Job Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years of Quality management or quality assurance experience required
  • Wireless products  and  3 - 5 years experience in a technical environment
  • Familiarity with mobile Android OS products, knowledge of wireless networks is beneficial
  • Technical aptitude and history of technical contributions
  • Must have expertise using MS Office Suite and MS Project
  • High aptitude for technical topics: ability to comprehend technical documentation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel
  • Ability to document and create process flows
  • Exceptional communication abilities, strong written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well independently and demonstrated ability to work in teams
  • Ability to communicate very clearly and directly when required
  • Ability to give concise presentations on project status to internal and external partners
  • Must be comfortable working in a “start up” type environment
  • Ability to travel 10-15% both domestically and internationally (China)
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
Desired Skills:
  • Ability to speak and read Chinese highly preferred
