Job description

Seeking Executive Director for the American Business Council in Kuwait (ABCK).  The Executive Director is responsible for leadership and management of the organization according to the strategies set forth by the Board  of Directors.  Responsibilities include:
 

• Familiarity with 501(c) organizational structure, reporting requirements and compliance with 501(c) organizations
• Professional advisor to the Board of Directors
• Operational planning and management
• Day to day operation of the organization
• Plan, coordinate and execute programs that support the promotion and development of American business and American business interests in the State of Kuwait (i.e. Trade Development)
• Determine staffing requirements and recruiting methods
• Prepare budgets and work with the Board of Directors to secure adequate funding
• Establish good working relationships with local and regional community groups, funders and government officials

 
Preferred candidate will have a Graduate level degree or a Bachelor’s degree with commensurate experience in a US-based 501(c) organization.
 
Salary and Benefits:  To be determined commensurate with education and experience.

Desired Skills and Experience

Preferred candidate will have direct experience in managing a 501(c) organizition, business development, public speaking and senior level management experience.
