Software Engineering Co-op

The Rockwell Collins Air Transport Displays department is looking for a highly skilled and motivated co-op. During this co-op session you will join a team of software engineers designing state-of-the-art, industry-leading flight displays for commercial jet aircraft.

Responsibilities include:
• Designing and integrating Large Display Systems (LDS) Software
• Developing and executing software-level tests for LDS Software
• Developing tools to support LDS software integration, verification and validation- Working with experienced software engineers to troubleshoot and debug systems

The successful candidate will:
• Be currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Have demonstrated problem solving skills and an understanding of engineering principles
• Have experience with at least one programming language, preferably C or C++
• Have experience with at least one scripting language
• Have developed applications for iOS and/or Android operating systemsIn addition to these technical skills

The candidate must be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and must be willing to work with a wide variety of people in a diverse team environment.The Co-op session will start in summer and continue through the fall semester, with the student working full time from June to December.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
