Sr. Engineer QA Automation

Responsibilities:

We are searching for a talented Senior Engineer to join our world class QA Automation team. As a critical member of our business, the successful candidate will be responsible for defining product test automation strategy, design, implement and maintain automation framework and test suites. The incumbent will coordinate delivery of automatiion and regression testing with local and remote manual testing team, evaluate different automation tools and framework supporting sanity, functional, performance test automation for different platforms and prepare automated regression test progress and defect trend reports from automated test runs. The Senior Engineer - QA Automation will be the primary contact for platform test automation and be instrumental in building and training remote teams to create testbeds and network supporting local and remote automation lab. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain automation framework/scripts for different products
• Drive automation delivery, automated regression test execution
• Follow SDLC process during automation development and maintenance phases including defect tracking & resolution
• Prepare test progress and defect trend reports for automated testing
• Contribute to Go-No-Go decision for releases
• Support running manual tests as required and document test cases, run regression tests, reproduce customer issues and validate fixes
• Build and train remote teams
• Create testbeds and network supporting local and remote testing
• Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network hardware, software, and peripheral devices part of the test networks simulating customer deployments
• Work closely with cross functional teams (development, operations, support and PLM)

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

• Bachelors or Graduate University degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
• 5 years of industry experience related to embedded system test & automation mainly on highly available VoIP media platforms for carrier and enterprise networks
• 4+ years of experience in automation framework/scripts development using Java, TCL, Selenium, TestNG
• Previous experience working with remote teams
• Automation experience for VoIP (SIP, SDP, RTP, RTCP, DTMF, T-30/38 Fax)
• Experience on Narrow band & wideband codec (G711, G72x, AMR, GSM, EVRC) testing
• In depth experience of layer-2 and layer-3 networking
• Experience using and automation of call/traffic generators like SIPp, Hammer, Abacus, Packetgen, IXIA
• Experience in functional, protocol, high availability, performance, longevity & inter-op testing and automation
• Experience on Browser based automation software i.e. Selenium
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with JIRA, Subversion
• Exposure to hosted application testing
