Position Responsibilities 

Creates, reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support SunGard’s Justice products.  Requires 5+ years of experience as a C# .net developer, a bachelor's degree in a related software engineering field is preferred.  Has knowledge of commonly-used software engineering concepts, practices, and procedures including object-oriented methodologies. 

Relies on instructions and pre-established specifications and guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works independently with minimal direction.  Reports to the development manager.

The major duties and job breakdown are as follows:

75% - Design, create, test and modify new software applications.
15% - Analyze and troubleshoot existing applications and installation programs.
10% - Create or update documentation, manuals and technical specifications.

Experience

Skills and Experience to include the following:
- Visual Studio 2012
- .Net Framework 3.5 and 4.0 
- C# 4.0 (Above –average Expertise)
- T-SQL and SQL Server (Above-average Expertise)
- Stored Procedure Development (Average Expertise)
- ODBC, OLEDB and .NET Data Providers, ADO .NET (Above-average Expertise)

Mandatory Job-related Skills
(Technical and professional skills that the person must have to be effective) See experience above, in addition:
- Experience building C# Windows Forms applications
- Object oriented programming experience 
- Strong debugging and problem solving skills 
- Experience designing and maintaining SQL server databases

Desirable Job-related Skills
(Technical and professional skills that would be desirable for the person to have) Experience with:
- Strong User Interface design skills
- Design Patterns
- Experience with XML, Web Services (SOAP, WCF and REST preferred)
- TFS (Team Foundation Server) and Visual Source Safe
- Microsoft Windows including networking (Average Expertise)
- Microsoft Office interface development (Word, Outlook and Excel)
- SCRUM
- WPF, LINQ, WCF, WF (Windows Workflow Foundation)
- ASP.NET and/or other web development skills
- Infragistics controls
- SSRS report building
- Mobile Device Development

Additional Skills
- English oral and written communications are required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
- Ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects 
- Ability to work well on individual tasks as well as working in a team environment 

Academic Qualifications 
A bachelor's degree in a related software engineering field or equivalent experience.
Desired experience 
- Integrated Justice (Court, Prosecutor, Probation, Public Defender) background or experience a plus 
- Experience with financial applications and accounting also desired
- Experience with on line payment engines, merchant accounts etc.
