JOB SYNOPSIS
 
Are you in a technical software leadership role?  Are you interested to work in a dynamic and open environment that allows collaboration with other professionals from diverse technical backgrounds?  In the role, you will have the opportunity to lead and work with software developers, engineers, and scientists to develop oil and gas industry software products.  You will be empowered to build software systems that can make complex problems and processes appear simple.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead all stages of agile software development including surface systems for intelligent production monitoring, control and data analysis.
  • Advance new ideas applying software architecture and design that can deliver software products to market in a better, faster and smarter ways.
  • Work directly with customers to ensure we deliver the right product to address market needs with strong emphasis on User Experience (UX) Design that captivates.
 
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 4 years or more of rigorous software development experience.
  • Mastery in designing reusable library using proven software architecture and design patterns.
  • Must have proven experience in delivering finished software products in .NET and C#.
  • Experience in Agile or other software product development methodologies.
  • Must have excellent English written and verbal communications skills.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in developing Winforms and WPF applications using MVVM.
  • Practical experience in User Experience (UX) Design best practices including conducting end-user sessions to listen, observe and document use cases and workflows.
  • Experience in Unit Testing or Test Driven Development such as NUnit and xUnit.NET.
  • Experience in user interface testing, review, and QA.
  • Experience in using source control, issue tracking, and build automation systems such as Subversion, Jira or TeamCity.
  • Experience in Windows Embedded is a plus.
  • C++ and native software development a plus.
  • Active participant in the software development community with keen interest in the latest best software practices, trends and design patterns.
