High Level Computing Lecturer Nescot

up to £35,000 p.a. (dependant on skills and experience)

Nescot has achieved a reputation over the years for being at the forefront of Computing and IT training in the UK, and are therefore pleased to be looking to recruit to this exciting position within the Computing department.
We require an experienced and enthusiastic High Level Computing Lecturer for delivering on a number of level 3 -5 programmes including BTEC Extended Diploma Access to HE and HNC/D, and advanced and Higher level Apprenticeships. The successful candidate will preferably specialise in web programming using JavaScript, Animation, Games programming, Databases, Systems Analysis, Hardware and Software A+.
Experience of delivering on BTEC is essential and you must hold a teaching qualification. You must be open to change and possess the skills to manage students effectively and meet challenges with a positive and flexible approach and be a team operator who is proactive.
Applicants should be well qualified and have the energy and enthusiasm needed to contribute to a successful College and an Outstanding Department Currently ranked as number three in the country. All applicants should be able to demonstrate effective Computing/ICT skills with a knowledge of up to date application software and be in possession of vendor qualifications or certifications.
You will be required to undertake a range of teaching activities and to contribute effectively to team working and the provision of tutorial support to students. You will also be required to assess work, internally verify assessed work, create learning materials and liaise with External Examiners.
The successful candidate(s) will have a degree in Computer Science or similar and preferably a teaching qualification.
Success in recruiting HE learners together with an understanding of HE quality assurance and self-assessment would be an advantage for the candidate.
