ABOUT THE ROLE: This is an office role. As part of the existing Purchasing Team, you will be contributing to the forward planning of Carrier Bag Shop stock. The Demand Planner is primarily responsible for stock control of goods and developing inventory plans, creating purchase orders, reporting on sales trends and monitoring stock replenishment.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analysing consumer buying patterns and predict future trends
- Formulating written reports and forecast level of sales
- Reacting to changes in demand and logistics
- Managing and planning stock levels
- Developing stock strategies and inventory plans
- Performing order placement against agreed terms
- Maintaining retail price lists and costs pricing
- Keeping records of stock and processing orders
- Coordinating receipt of merchandise
- Maintaining price lists and costs pricing for Sales staff
- Ensuring Supplier compliance to service level agreements and KPIs
- Liaising between suppliers and internal staff and maintain inventory
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
ESSENTIAL
- Minimum of three years experience in stock control
- GCSE in Mathematics (Grade ‘B’ or higher) or equivalent
- Ability to maintain strategic relationships
- Commercial ability to work to targets
- Solid IT skills – MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Successful management of demanding workloads
- Strong administration and organisational skills
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly
- Patient, accurate and methodical
- Hardworking and self-motivated
- Able to work as part of a team
