Key responsibilities:

-Developing object-oriented C++ code on brand
-Unit testing with sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended
-Conducting functional and non-functional testing of software products
-Installing software in development, test and production environments, and at client sites
-Proactively learn new ways to develop software and maintain existing skills and knowledge, using various resources

Our software:

-Builds on the original C++ desktop application, and a new server version for web browsers and tablets
-Our new architecture uses HTML5, Canvas and TypeScript for the user interface and the existing C++ code for the server-based business logic, proprietary database, and data interfaces
-The extensive development roadmap includes the redesign of the dashboard designer user interface, the implementation of multi-threaded processing of calculations and new HTML5 dashboard instruments

Skills and experience required:

-Experience in the full software development lifecycle gained through various projects
-Application of both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
-Knowledge of commercial software packages, In-house IT developments utilising object oriented design and programming (OOD/OOP)
-Working with unmanaged C++ language, with experience of developing for Windows
-An understanding of C# along with the use of managed C++ is beneficial
-Ability to take ownership and responsibility of the components you're developing
-Aptitude to create innovative and intuitive solutions
-Proven as a pro-active self-starter, who works effectively and collaboratively in a team environment

Bonus'/ Benefit Package:

-Salary up to 45,000 dependent on level and experience
-Discretionary bonus of up to 10% of base salary depending on company and personal performance
-Holidays 20 days plus bank holidays, rising to 25 days after 3 years of service
