Job Description:
Supervises subcontractors
Manage daily health, safety and environmental business activities, supervise activities of all site staff and subcontractors
Provide HSE guidance and leadership to management team and team leaders
Ensure that all incidents are investigated thoroughly; ensures appropriate case management of incidents, completes reports
Develop, manage and present safety training programs. Review and recommend continued training and education of employees
Assess field activities by conducting onsite audits and site visits to ensure HSE compliance
Accountable for integrity of all HSE data, record keeping and administrative reporting in accordance with company and client policy
Ensure that employees receive prompt and complete medical attention and assists in the return to work process of injured employees
Monitor environmental issues and advise management and field staff on environmental obligations
Have a sound knowledge of Statutory HSE Regulations, industry HSE standards and ensure their correct implementation
Ensure company HSE policies and procedures are implemented consistently and effectively, and are known and understood by all employees.
Install any revisions to procedures as directed by the HSE Manager or designate.
Co-ordinate all inter-related matters between the HSE Committee, the Management Committee and Line Management.
Liaise on a regular basis with fabrication / barge medical personnel.
Monitor the results and quality of TRA’s and Trend Analysis Reports
Provide meaningful advice to line-management on HSE matters including legislative and industry standards.
Foster an environment for building team morale and build consensus within the team.
Clearly delegate actions and responsibilities and define deliverable requirements in terms of both scope and schedule to team members
Demonstrate good planning and organization in day to day activities.
Attend project/ division HSE meetings, arrive fully prepared and informed to provide answers to questions raised during the meeting.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in MSOffice software packages
Good oral and written communication skills
Good presentation skills, knowledge of OSHA .
Supervisory experience preferred
Exposure to Accident Investigation & Analysis software
