Position Summary
Facilitates, standardizes and integrates the development of marketing communications (segment-specific content, creative, and marketing materials) consistent with Pella¿s Brand Standards for Pella¿s segments, products and channels (Pella¿s Direct Sales Network and/or National Accounts). Works with media/advertising agency partners, distribution channel partners, Pella¿s marketing department personnel, and outside suppliers to integrate/achieve corporate marketing goals.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of communications, programs, policies and procedures, which support total customer satisfaction, both internally and externally, where applicable in relation to this position.

Develops strong working relationships with Pella¿s Brand/Segment/Product Teams to help support their three-year marketing plans and achieve goals. Annually assist in development of comprehensive advertising/marketing plans and sales promotion programs and materials. Develops and fosters strong working relationships with internal personnel, agency partners, suppliers and channel partners to stimulate creative thinking, maximize integration and effectiveness. Some travel required to build and maintain said relationships and acquire location video/photography.

Marketing Materials:  Lead the development, coordination and fulfillment of advertising/marketing materials including content development for all segments/touch points (website(s), literature and collateral, promotions, sales tools, videos, photography, videos, point-of-purchase, trade show and showroom displays, audiovisual programs, wearables and other sales aids). Supports management of overall offering and consolidate efforts wherever possible. Manage and direct agencies in the production of sales and marketing materials to meet appropriate deadlines. Work with Pella¿s legal department to ensure legal approval on all messaging and claims. Communicates and integrates approved content into other mediums as needed (websites/digital, literature, advertising, videos, etc.) Assists in the development and implementation of processes to improve content and creative development of all materials and incorporate metrics to track results as needed.

Digital Focus: Lead/Support the development and execution of digital sales and marketing plans for websites, social media, emails, e-newsletters, video, sales tools, social media, etc.  Partner with the Marketing Communications Digital Team and agency partners to tailor content and creative design for this medium. Support efforts to measure, analyze, and optimize digital solutions to build audience, engagement, leads, and retention. Identify opportunities to evolve digital tools to include dynamic content that maximizes search engine optimization (SEO) and delivers on business objectives.  Ensure consistent customer experiences across online, offline and multiple digital platforms.

Writing, Editing and Creative Requirements: Ability to direct the development of content for each audience (segmentation); write briefs to direct agency partners; proof copy and provide detailed revisions and/or write replacement copy for all marketing communications as defined above. Creative aptitude with the ability to review creative executions and provide detailed creative feedback to agency partners. An understanding of basic graphic design principles is desired.

Assists in the preparation and management of budgets as assigned.  Reviews and assigns vendor invoices and journal entries for processing.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of industry graphics programs such as Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator , Acrobat and InDesign desired but not required.

Education & Work Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A./B.S.) from four-year college or university; three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
