Lead/Advisory Software Development Engineer
(Location: Chicago, Illinois)

Our Software Development Engineer positions are the key to delivering software and services-based solutions that enable our clients to accurately capture, manage, generate and optimize revenue, strengthen customer relationships and exploit emerging opportunities in highly complex, transformational market environments.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Performs highly complex product design activities on applications software which may require extensive research and analysis. Implements designs with high quality.
- Performs complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
- May assist in performing on-site client work on highly complex applications.
- In absence of product architects, may serve as a senior product architect.
- Researches and understands the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. Researches new technology or development tools to remain informed of current technology.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications and Skills:
- BS in Computer Science or related field - or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of previous related experience.
- Expert analytical and design skills at multi-product/multi-environment level.
- In-depth experience in research and analysis, project planning and implementation.
- High understanding of entire development process, including specification, documentation and quality assurance.
- Recognized reference and central point for technical issues across groups and products.
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills.
- Possess the ability to research and diagnose logic errors that are highly complex in nature and may require extensive research and analysis. This would include programs developed by the programmer and others. Should have proficient knowledge of the usage of the diagnostic tools provided for the language environment. Possess the ability to diagnose complex language environment problems relating to development and execution of the application. Possess the ability to diagnose and implement solutions for highly complex logic errors that may exist between multiple application subsystems and/or associated interfaces.
