Primary responsibilities:
- At the direction of senior developers, develop code in C# with ASP.NET on web applications which primarily use a Microsoft SQL Server cluster for data storage.
- Test and document code, specifications, and libraries.
- Maintain applications and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Work closely with Lead Engineers on active and ongoing projects.
- Teach and learn from others to spread knowledge about techniques that could improve the business, product, and general lives of the development team.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Experience and qualifications:
- Demonstrated proficiency coding with C#
- A minimum of 1 year of professional experience developing interactive web sites
- Experience with consumer-facing, 24x7, high-traffic websites is highly desirable
- Experience developing for subscription-based or video-based websites a plus
- Knowledge of web architecture and standards, including HTML, JavaScript, C#, ActionScript and Flash.
- Ability to test and document your own code, as well as legacy code that may not already be well documented
