Job Description

Supervise a team of handymen:
• Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, progressive discipline, performance evaluations and salary administration of maintenance staff
• Aids and instructs craftsmen in scheduling work, ordering material and completing assignments by a specified date
Supervise maintenance operations for the club and maintain entire facility including:
• The physical building structure
• All mechanical, electrical
• HVAC systems and related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventive maintenance programs
• Refrigeration
• Heating
• Plumbing
• Water treatment
• Preventive maintenance
• Treatment rooms
• A/C units
• Ice machines
• Swimming pools
• Lighting
• Kitchen equipment
• Emergency generators
• Water softeners
• Switch rooms
• Roof exhausts
• Electrical substations

Skills

• Requires advanced knowledge of building management/ engineering. This position does require as well overall maintenance knowledge and trouble shooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, carpentry, equipment and tool usage

• May require considerable working knowledge of other major areas in hotel/ club and the skill to integrate and communicate that information

• Requires management skills

• English and Arabic required, French desirable
